Tim Ho Wan @ Aperia Mall

After 2 weeks of craving for Dim Sum and Japanese food, my tummy is alas satisfied with good 'ol Michelin 1-Star dim sum at Tim Ho Wan. I've been hearing through word-of-mouth how it can't be compared to the ones at the country-of-origin, but still found these quite comforting nonetheless. Perhaps reason being i haven't personally been to Hong Kong for their Dim Sum.

Contemplated on either 搵到食 @ Geylang, or Tim Ho Wan but since #Mamaburp wanted to try the other dishes here (yup, not all dishes are available to-go), we decided to drop by to the outlet at Aperia since we were nearby + expected a helluva long queue at Plaza Singapura since it is a Public Holiday. Unfortunately, there was still a queue at Aperia which took us approximately 15-20minutes but thankfully it wasn't that bad and we had awesome food, so YAY. 

Baked BBQ Pork Bun, a must-have whenever at Tim Ho Wan ($4.50).

Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce ($4.00)

Rice with Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom ($6.00). I'm terribly apologetic that my photo does the dish no justice, but this was surprisingly good! The texture of rice was done really well, soft to the point and had the right amount of sauce, not too salty yet not too plain. Anyone able to decipher this recipe? Please do let me know! Hehe.

Vermicelli roll with sweet and sesame sauce ($4.20). Going easy on your tastebuds? Thumbs up!

Vermicelli roll with Shrimp ($6.00).

Steamed spinach dumpling with Shrimp ($3.80).

Beancurd skin with pork & shrimp ($5.00)

Last but definitely not the least, a personal favourite: Steamed Egg Cake ($3.80)!!! By far, the best i've ever tasted in steamed-egg-cake history and it always leaves me wondering how in the world do they make them so soft and fluffy. High recommended if you have a sweet tooth and a soft spot for cakes especially.
