Haven't visited Vivo City in the longest time and was warmly greeted by a new + extensive range of restaurants which gave me a pleasant surprise. Who would've known Vivo City would've changed so much over a year! Will definitely be back to give the other food outlets a try. :)
Walked around vivo city for a good 15 minutes before deciding on what we should have for lunch, and mama burp decided to give Paik's Bibimbap a try since we haven't seen nor heard about it before. If you're in the vicinity and looking to have a quick meal while keeping to your diet, Paik's Bibim is the choice for you! Paik's Bibimbap serves Korea's traditional rice dishes where various type of food is mixed into a bowl (sometimes a hot pot) and savoured with spicy Korean sauce.
Seafood Bibimbap ($8.90), a bed of rice topped with fresh vegetables and seasoned squid. Their Bibimbap menu also consists of Beef Bulgogi ($8.50), Teriyaki Chicken ($8.50), Pork ($7.90) and Marinated Tofu ($6.90). There is something for everyone! The only factor you have to worry about would be the skeletal space available for dine-ins. If you're patronising Paik's Bibimbap in a big group, do be prepared to wait a bit or have your meal to-go.
I found this a little special, Warm Noodles with Soy Sauce ($7.90) served with fresh vegetables and bits of pork. Even without the need for spicy Korean sauce, this noodle dish is already tasty on its own with the crunch from its vegetables and chewiness from the pork bits. Something different from the usual rice bibimbaps, finally found something for noodle-lovers like myself.
Tried adding a little spicy Korean sauce out of curiosity on how it would taste like, and it wasn't that bad either. Go easy on the sauce. It may turn out to be a little too salty for liking, however it gives the noodles some spice and may be preferred for those who likes that "kick" in their meals. An alternative would also be to give their Spicy Bibim Noodles ($7.90) a shot. Each meal comes with a bowl of soup and a side dish.
Slurp 'em noodles, munch on 'em vegetables and burpppppp~
