Too long since i had this updated. Well, have been really busy with work and preparation for my 21st lately. Managed to dig some time out for cafe-hopping but other than that i'll be earning little bucks to plaster the hole in my bank account.

Rather accessible by bus/train. Minutes walk from Lavender MRT station and approximately 20 minutes bus ride from Serangoon (the busstop opposite, from the right of nex). With a direct bus 107/147, we managed to reach our destination without any trouble.

A rather cosy cottage ambience i must say. However, the lighting was a little dim on our side (the high table) which was at the expense of our photos.

While i was fumbling over my 11-day old iphone5s which gave me much trouble, did not manage to capture much photos. Even if i did, it was all washed out when i visited Singtel after where they rebooted my phone. (GOSH!)

Honestly, can't exactly remember what we ordered. We missed Symmetry's brunch menu although we were there at 12 noon. Eggy settled for the sweet side (Waffles with blueberry icecream accompanied with peanut butter and jam), while i went for something savoury as per the picture above. Now see why it's always mandatory for me/us to take photos before digging in, cause it helps us to remember what we've consumed days/weeks/months ago. (hahaha don't judge)

Well, their waffles were rather awesome. A unique side to it, especially the blueberry ice cream which made me go 'wow, it's really blueberry icecream'.

With our filled up tumtumz, took a stroll down to Lavender MRT where we made way down to the Singtel HQ at Somerset to do something about my phone. Really much grateful for this girl, willingly accompanied me to get my phone fixed and then sent me all the way down to work. Was feeling rather down after i received a call from SIM that i've been scheduled for an interview, where other troubles started rolling in at the same time. So yeah.

With a heavy heart, dropped by Orchard Gateway for a sweet treat on the way back and it hit the spot.

They are a flagship store from owners of Twelve Cupcakes, Daniel and Jaime. & well, they're GOOOOOOOOD. Dulce & Sucre offers a new shelf of sweets and desserts, ranging from tarts to sweet loaves to WHOOPIES. Yes, WHOOPIES.

Perhaps expecting a cookie filled with goodness, close enough but not exactly. Whoopies are the soft version of cookies, might give off a weird texture at first but it's actually quite enjoyable after subsequent bites.

In conclusion ... one does not simply live without trying each variety offered. So i'll be back for more!
