Just minutes walk away from Tiong Bahru MRT, might seem a little complicated but with the help of a GPS this little bar on the second level of Yong Siak Street.
Posh interiors and a really relaxing place to have a drink of 2 whilst catching up on old times with good 'ol friends... perfect!
However, if you're only going there just for the food, this place is not for you. Everything went well from the interiors to the service to the washroom, but the food served was too much of a disappointment. (Their drinks were good/acceptable though)
Settled for their starters, the garlic shrimps and garlic naan.
Being conscious about what goes through my digestive system, the dish was not for me. The shrimps were soaked in a pond of oil with chilli flakes and fried garlic (oh this was good). However, after draining off and soaking the excess oil with the garlic naans, i still took a few bites of it and the flakes+fried garlic were actually not bad although the chef went a little too generous with the salt for the shrimps.
Adding on, the garlic naans were not hot (perhaps due to the air conditioning) and they were sour. Sent them back to the kitchen and it came out hot, but the sourness of the dough was still present. Without bringing the issue up once more, i left without taking another bite of it.
Sat there for close to an hour sharing stories and learning from one another, we left the place and took a stroll around Tiong Bahru in search of another cafe to wash our pallets.
Based on my experience, whatever you decide on at this place, you'll be greatly satisfied. So don't worry to go wild with your choices!
