The Club @ Marina Bay Sands
10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018956
Level 57

Adding on to my day, met up with my family for a staycation at MBS over the weekend. Planned my daddy as he mistaken Mother's Day to be on the 23rd. My dad iz too cute to handle. Hehehe.

Went in slightly before 2pm where the complimentary high tea session started. Our time there was once again ruined by the management at The Club. Apparently it is a rule that any extra guest who steps into The Club has to be chargeable and as we sat through the high tea session, one of us had to be charged. I found it a little ridiculous as we were having our lunch through their a-la-carte menu and the extra pax we had had no plans on touching their high tea buffet any way.

On another side, we felt a little discriminated as we were locals. Having experienced many hoteliers treating locals differently from tourists (especially from MBS), we placed the issue behind and continued with our meal.

The high tea buffet which they offered. Well, this is about it. It was a rather limited range of buffet items. I would rate it as Fair. Apart from ridiculous rule set by the management, the staff there were rather polite and friendly. I guess they just have to abide to the rules if not they'll be risking their job.

Afterwhich, met my boy (likeafinally) and headed to the gym for a little workout from all the guilty pleasures i've had. Almost died, but i always love his workouts cause i'll never be motivated nor disciplined enough to follow through whenever i'm alone.

Feeling hungry yet again, we headed back up to the club for their Cocktail Hour. Thankfully, we did not have any troubles this time round.

The food at the buffet was about the same, just that they had additional yakitori sticks + chawanmushi + edamame peas + cheese platter and that's about it. Humble it is, and they'll stick to it.

Nevertheless, it was a good 45 minute spent up by the infinity edge pool way above ground, watching the sunset at the same time. Unlike many couples, we meet almost every other day but rarely or never with an agenda in mind. Today, we have it. Impromptu, short, but blessed we are.

xoxo.
