I don't know if it was because of Citibank's 1-for-1 Gourmet Pleasures promotion (which honestly was the reason why we were there), but this bar + bistro managed to beg close to a full house on a Thursday night! Although the crowd, their food managed to arrive promptly and was complemented by polite staff :) #twothumbsup
As it was our first time there, we decided to play it safe and ordered their Chef's recommendations which turned out pretty good. BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza ($25), and The Bank Caesar Salad with Grilled Prawns ($20.50) for a whopping $25 nett thanks to Citibank. The thing about this promotion, order and 2 items from the soup/pasta/pizza menu and enjoy the lower priced item for free. Even without the promotion, i wouldn't mind paying for the food at The Bank Bar + Bistro.
The Bank Caesar Salad, a classic and I'm glad they made it right. Also am thankful that the service staff asked if i wanted to have the sauce separate or tossed in, the little gestures to perfect your night. :) Prawns were fresh, cheddar crisp was a surprise, garlic bread was a little salty but crispy and i thought it was quite good.
Their BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza was to die for! This place managed to craft the perfect crust (at least to me), thin in the middle and gradually thickens towards the edges while finishing off with a nice crisp. & i've yet to start on the toppings. A tangy yet sweet bbq pulled pork with bits of jalapeños and melted cheese, talk about well-balanced flavours.
Here's some of the other dishes The Bank Bar + Bistro has to offer. Well, control your appetite, but then at the same time, go crazy with good food!
