Haven't had much time to do what i have initially planned months back, but now that exams are over and school's out (GRAUDUATE LOH~~) we all know what's coming up next. :> Finally settled university applications (although i just found out i've to submit the original documents to the school 7 days after applying), so it's a little load off my chest.

So at last, took some time out after work this week to visit Stranger's Reunion with the boy. The rainy weather was awesome but it kinda dampened the mood a little, but ohwellz!

STRANGERS' REUNION
37 Kampong Bahru Road
Tel: +65 6222 4869
Mon/Wed/Thu/Sun: 9am – 10pm
Fri/Sat: 9am -  12am
(Closed on Tue)

As the name suggests, the cafe is rather packed that you've strangers sitting almost less than an arm's length away from you (most probably every word spoken would be heard). It's a nice cozy ambience nonetheless.

Being down on a Friday evening, i would consider ourselves really lucky as we managed to beat the dinner crowd when they all started flowing in as we were about to leave at around 7pm.

Initially planned to have dinner down as well, however the prices were overwhelming that we even had second thoughts about dining there at all. Dinner mains were easily at $20-30 (sorry big hole in the pocket this month). However since we made the trip all the way down, my boy and i could not give it a miss (maybe he knew i would be disappointed as well cause i was dying to cafe hop, oops).

Hence, Strangers' Reunion Buttermilk Waffles with Greek Yoghurt and seasonal fruits ($14.90) for us. :> It was good, but a little overrated i have to admit. If we had to travel the distance and join the queue, i would give my vote to Wimbly Lu's over at Lorong Riang (Serangoon). Then again, a pity we did not try their mains so i'll leave the judging/gauging to your own taste buds and perception.

Still enjoyed ourselves there nonetheless and the boy decided to leave a little note in appreciation for the hospitality that night. :>

Recommendation: Satisfying; good to give it a try!

With love, xoxo
J
